Path Drill

The aim of this drill is to manage the path of the club head.

Place a bucket next to the ball, on the outside of the ball.  If the path of the swing is a little out to in even in a standard chip shot chances are that you will find yourself clipping the bucket at impact.  Your goal is to start to swing the club head through impact on a more neutral path.  Simply miss the bucket.

On the other hand if your path is too far in to out then instead of using a bucket place some tees next to the inside of the ball or even a second ball.  Again miss the ball or tees.

To manage the path you can use these couple of option or also create a gate with two tees either side of the ball and let the club head swing through the gate without hitting either of the tees.
